Jenůfa at the Staatsoper Berlin 

Ms. Grigorian returns to one of her highly acclaimed roles; the title role in Janáček’s Jenůfa at the Staatsoper Berlin. Ms. Grigorian’s performance of Jenůfa at the Wiener Staatsoper at the beginning of this season was very well received. Seen and Heard International claimed: “Asmik Grigorian dominated this Jenůfa” and crowned her “the leading singing-actor of her soprano generation.” This time, Ms. Grigorian is joined by Stephan Rügamer as Laca Klemen, Edgaras Montvidas as Števa Buryjia, Hanna Schwarz as the old Burya, and Evelyn Herlitzius as Kostelnička. Maestro Antonello Manacorda conducts the Staatsopernchor and Staatskapelle Berlin.
