June: Concert & Rusalka

Asmik Grigorian joins the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra as the soprano soloist in Shostakovich’s Fourteenth Symphony, paired with Sibelius’s Fourth Symphony. The concerts take place on June 5th and 6th. Asmik recently recorded this symphony with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, conducted by Mikko Franck for Alpha. Performances take place on June 5 and 6 at the De Doelen Hall in Rotterdam. Tickets and more information can be found here.

Later in the month, Grigorian takes the stage in Dvořák’s Rusalka, one of her signature roles, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. Directed by Christof Loy and conducted by Josep Pons, Asmik performs alongside Piotr Beczała as the Prince, Alexandros Stavrakakis as Vodník, and Okka von der Damerau as Ježibaba.
