Pagliacci at the Wiener Staatsoper

Ms. Grigorian returns to the Wiener Staatsoper after a successful house debut at Teatro Massimo earlier this month, where she reprises the role of Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci. Ms. Grigorian first performed the role in this emotionally charged and captivating opera in 2012 at the Open-Air Festival in Szeged, Hungary. This time, under the baton of Maestro Daniel Harding, Ms. Grigorian sings in this legendary Jean-Pierre Ponnelle production, set in the 1930s, which tells a riveting tale of love, jealousy and tragedy. Alongside her are Yonghoon Lee as the title-role, Amartuvshin Enkhbat as Tonio, Jörg Schneider as Beppo and Stefan Astakhov as Silvio.

Performances take place on June 15th, 19th, 24th, and 27th. Tickets and more information can be found here
