Fuoco Sacro Film

Ms. Grigorian stars in a new documentary film Fuoco Sacro, alongside Barbara Hannigan and Ermonela Jaho. In this film, director Jan Schmidt-Garre accompanies the singers to the great opera houses of Europe and gives us an insight into their individual artistic approaches. The film focuses on the creative process behind three of Asmik’s beloved operatic roles: Salome, Iolanta, and Tatyana. Schmidt-Garre sets out to discover what it means to be an artist in the world of opera and how it is such a uniquely powerful medium, capable of bringing out a raw emotional response from its audience. 

The film will be released in German cinemas on April 21.
