Rusalka at the Bayerische Staatsoper

This May, Ms. Grigorian makes a return to the Bayerische Staatsoper to perform another one of her signature roles for the third time this season, the title-role in Dvorak’s Rusalka. Her recent performance at the Royal Opera House in London was praised by Bachtrack who claimed: “Asmik Grigorian is a real stage animal, inhabiting her roles completely... Vocally, she displayed plenty of steel, tempered by softer colours in a heartfelt Song to the Moon… There’s emotional truth to everything Grigorian sings; this was no exception.” Under the baton of Maestro Henrik Nánási, Ms. Grigorian shares the stage with Dmytro Popov as the Prince, Günther Groissböck as Vodník (the water goblin), Ewa Płonka as the Foreign Princess, Lindsay Ammann

as Ježibaba (the witch), and Ulrich Reß as Hajny (the gamekeeper).

Performances take place on May 14th, 17th and 19th. For tickets and more information, click here.
