Verdi Requiem with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig

After her remarkable performances of Cio-Cio-San at the Royal Opera House, Ms. Grigorian makes her debut with the Gewandhausorchester in Leipzig, performing Verdi’s Requiem. Her interpretation of Verdian repertoire was praised last season by Dreh Punkt Kultur: “Asmik Grigorian has not yet been associated with Verdi. From now on, you won't want to think of him without the Lithuanian soprano: So light, so clear, so brilliant, so delicate the singing.” Under the baton of conductor Franz Welser-Möst, Ms. Grigorian shares the stage with Deniz Uzun (mezzo-soprano), Limmie Pulliam (tenor), and Mika Kares (bass). They are also joined by the MDR-Rundfunkchor.

The concerts are held on April 11th and 12th. Tickets and more information can be found here.
