Manon Lescaut at the Wiener Staatsoper

Ms. Grigorian returns to the Wiener Staatsoper this February to perform the title role in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. The soprano received recent success after her performance of “Sola, perduta, abbandonata” at the AIDS-Stiftung Gala concert, conducted by Maestro Keri-Lynn Wilson. Furthermore, her performance of Manon at Oper Frankfurt in 2019 was hailed by Bachtrack: “Her effortless, free-flowing voice impressively conveyed the great feelings that are so present and important in Puccini.” This time, under the baton of Maestro Francesco Ciampa, Ms. Grigorian is joined by her colleagues Boris Pinkhasovich as Chevalier René Des Grieux, Brian Jagde as Edmont and Josh Lovell as Der Tanzmeister. Join Asmik on her tireless quest for freedom and her desire for social advancement through the immortality of love.
