December: “A Diva is Born” and Christmas Night Opera Gala

On December 2, Asmik Grigorian presents her project A Diva is Born, a unique project that tells the story of Asmik Grigorian’s life and journey to stardom, blending high art opera with popular music from artists like Sting and Lady Gaga. Joined by the pianist Hyung-Ki Joo, the performance continues her ongoing exploration of the project, previously seen in Salzburg, Milan and Riga.

On December 27, Grigorian travels to New York City, where she appears at the Christmas Night Opera Gala at Carnegie Hall. The gala also features Sondra Radvanovsky, Thomas Hampson, Nadine Sierra, Brian Jagde, and Anita Monserrat, conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta.
